Because Portumna is situated on the River Shannon on the northern mouth of Lough Derg, the fishing here is some of the finest in Europe.

The Shannon Fishery Board offer some tremendous advice for both the experienced angler and the novice.

We offer a tackling shed and storage for your catch and will even cook it for you so you can enjoy the fishing experience to the fullest.

Sean will offer good advice as to the best spots and will only be happy to show you if you cannot find them. If you need to hire a boat to get out on to the Lough, Sean will put you in touch with the man who can help you.
